Made by Molly: Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats
I am here to tell you that finding time to eat a good breakfast doesn't need to slow down your normal morning routine. When I started making overnight oats, my days completely changed! It is a quick meal in the morning that will fill you up and keep you energized throughout your morning chores - and guess what? It is delicious!
Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats
Ingredients for 2 servings:
-2/3 cup Gluten free oats
-3 tsp. Chia seeds
-2 Tbs. Pure maple syrup or honey
-1 cup Almond milk (or any low-fat milk)
-1 to 2 tsp. Cacao powder (depending on how chocolatey you want them!)
-1 Sliced banana
-Optional: 1 scoop of protein powder
Directions: Mix together all ingredients in a bowl, split between two tupperwares or mason jars, cover and place in the fridge overnight! Enjoy the next morning or within 5 days. If you prefer firmer banana pieces, wait until the morning of to slice it and place on top of your oats.
*If Chocolate Banana isn’t your flavor of choice, exclude the Cacao powder and Banana, and use the remaining ingredients as your Overnight Oat base. Other personal favorites of mine are Chocolate Strawberry, Cinnamon Raisin, and Piña Colada (pineapple chunks and dried coconut flakes).
